The Good King Dagobert, is a comedy Dino Risi, Italian director a little. Yes because the production of this film is French-Italian. It contains some good actors in French cinema, as Coluche, Serrault, Michael Lonsdale or Carole Bouquet. The story as the movie itself is running free throughout its two hours. But it does not matter, because games players in the entire cast save the day!
Dagobert, king of the Franks was stormed in battle against the Huns. Dagobert is a big, very big filthy. Ribald king and loving young women in his bed, he was forced to go see the Pope in Rome demonstrated his great devotion. But only now, our good King, he has nothing to fuck the Good God! Once in Rome he sympathizes with the Pope quickly, and invites endless orgies ever. Only now, it is not the true Pope, but an imposter ...
So yes, to say, this is a very good film, quite funny but is pretty empty. I however, still wanted to see this film before seeing it and I was not disappointed.
